Weapon Upgrades do work!

Hello fellow Gamers,

I just found something out by pure chance... I am not sure if this is known,
but having looked around in the forum it is not mentioned anywhere.

In my campaign as HE I helped Gondor against the invasion from Mordor.
I reconquered Minas Tirith and traded it for Cairs Andros. In Cairs Andros
I was able to upgrade my weapons (sword icon) for generals, cavalry and infantry.
It doesn't work for archers.

Just for everyone who doesn't know this yet as I read somewhere that weapon upgrades
don't work yet for TATW 1.1 (Yes, I will download 1.2 now! Missed the release!)

Well, as it porb works in 1.2, but anyway it did work in 1.1......

Of course they work. Nobody said they don't. You just have to have a swordsmith's guild in the city.

You will get an offer if you want to build any guilds when your faction is highly enough upgraded.

You're more likely to get certain guild offers depending on what activities you do in a given settlement. For instance, if you recruit a lot of spies in a city, you may get an offer to build a thieves' guild there.

I suspect Gothic Revenge recruited a healthy number of swordsmen in Cair Andros, or perhaps Gondor did that and got the guild before they traded with him.
