Default wikerus' wicked business (starting strategy)

it also works in other faction but i found hre more efficient lets say they are the center of chrst faction

when an emmisarry tries to make a trade rights with you

    counter deal it with this

    Enemy emmisarry:
    1300 tribute 3 turns
    or 1200 tribute 3 turns

    Your offers:
    trade rights
    Alliance

this will give you a reasonable boost in money at the start

    Note:
Always look at the wealth of opposing faction and relations

if its filthy rich then squeeze the money out of them(adjust the tribute money)

    send emmisarry across the map

make alliance to all faction (this will also improve your relations)

always train your emmisarry (the higher the subtefuge the more money it can squeeze frm a faction)
If you want to destroy them! Do it in a cruel way!

Maybe it is a bit too small and doesn't cover all the information you should know in the start of the campaign. For example, write there what buildings you should build and how to make more money. It's quite short and tells you almost nothing. In my opinion you could expand it, so people will come and read it too

    Some thoughts:

    • I also find that waiting to establish trade until the rebel provinces between the factions are absorbed will usually net a higher tribute.
    • Rather than taking 2000 florins, the 5T of 400 is less disruptive on the AI (I think).
    • But if your purpose is to disrupt, then go for a lump sum payment. Since the AI sees no time value on cash flow, there is seldom little value increase with paying over time.
    • Remember that tributes come off the top of the following turn and cash payments come out of cash on hand at the moment.

What do you mean by "off the top of the following turn"?

There are two ways of doling out cash to other factions - Make Single Payment and Regular Tribute.

What he means is that a single payment comes out of your cash immediately while a tribute isn't calculated until the following turn during the financial phase of the turn. You can't give away more money than you have in any given turn but you can promise more then you have.
