1.2 Problemo

Hey all,

I am sorry if this is in the wrong place but i am surprisingly having troubles with my installation of V1.2 of the patch....

After the main load screen i crash back to desktop with no warnings or anything just all disappears. I figured perhaps it was due to a couple of submods running so i uninstalled Third Age and reinstalled V1.0 and 1.1 and then 1.2 and still had a similar problem...

Next i uninstalled everything, right the way back to M2TW and deleated the Sega root file so no traces of M2 exsisted, i have now reinstalled M2TW, Kingsdoms, and all the versions of TA.TW and again i have the same random crash out. I am confused, especially seeing as nobody else appears to be reporting a problem.

Any suggestions? i have checked up to 1.1 TA.TW and that still works fine, although still has my saved games despite me deleating the root SEGA file, i cannot find where these saved games are on my computer even searching using the windows search feature.....i am currently redownloading the patch with hope it maybe something to do with my download...

It seems you got some corrupted files from your download.
I advise you to download again from the original link, or from this ones:

And maybe avoid doing something else on the computer while downloading- Sometimes this causes some errors.

okay thanks both, i am downloading now and have removed all Third Age installations from the M2 TW root file.

Fingers crossed, ive been desperate to play this mod for over a week and have spent all evening trying to get it to work!!

Don`t tell me about trying to get it to work. I had to restore my kingdoms cd- With toothpaste, various programms and sacrificing to many gods.

i know your pain my friend, what doesnt kill us makes us stronger! I am hoping for more success when this download is finished, hopefully i can actually start a new campaign tomorrow !

I had random crashes with 1.0 a lot, and it was really frustrating. After blaming everyone else a few hundred times, and reinstalling the mod over and over, along with M2TW itself, I discovered that I was just overheating my computer. I put a fan by it for a while and then cleaned it out later and haven't had a crash since. :/

I am still suffering a crash to desktop with no error messages straight before the intro movies before the title menu.

I have downloaded the files from two different locations, completed uninstalled M2 TW and deleated the root folder, removed all traces of M2TW and TATW from my system and done a complete reinstall...yet still have this problem.

Computer is good enough to run everything else without problems so its not hardware related, the only thing i am confused about is despite deleating EVERYTHING when i ran V1.1 on reinstall i could still 'continue campaign' so those files had not been deleated?

Any further ideas would be appreciated, i have started the download from a different server again but it always seems to be a full file download of 751Mg....mmmmm
