The last one is Rise and Fall:Civilizations at war...........the company is broke,so they released it as freeware.You have to like it...not my taste....but its free

Yeah its nice,but the first player mode isn't that....what it suppossed to be,but you can build huge army's....so that is a +.

I just checked there site....they need people to mod/code whatever.
Alot of the old members are bussy with RL and not contributing anymore,the same old story like in the TW forums

But we can't blame them.Since they work on this for 8 years now

...(and the people here start

ing when it takes 3 months longer hahahaha)

My hope is slightly gone in that game,because they released there codes.(we know what that means right)

Just checked it out and 0 A.D looks marvellous. Well, at least I have RTR to keep me occupied.

LOL....I think the next 3 version's of RTR will keep you occupied

There paste of work at wildfire isn't exactly the fastest hehe

Well I suppose I consider the game secondary because it's more AoK'esque rather than RTW which means i'm not going to be waiting for years, craving for the release. Though I think the third-person element would be a nice feature to implement in RTW so you can influence a battle by breaking through a mass of infantry rather than the tried and tested hammer and anvil strategy for the 1,506th time. Of course the unit stats would have to be more like RTR to slow the combat down rather than the fluid battles where two huge groups of phalangites engage and there's a pile of 400 corpses within a minute or two.

I played Rise And Fall Demo few years ago... The game itself isn't good, but the sea battles looks fantastic. I wish I had such sea-battles in RTW

I tried to install it and data1.cab corrupted. Ran the installation again and it worked. Though I think i'm enjoying this game more for the hero control than the actual RTS aspect of it.

The 3rd time it was from somewhere else and it worked.

oh srry ..
I just used the first link google gave me.

In the tutorial the sea battles where frustrating,but at a normal skirmish they rocked

Especially when you have 8 ships or so,the enemy respons like always(inmagine)...he builds more ships to.
Man that is so lol.

Real chaos on the sea...and the AI handles that much better then me.

Only the hero mode was sluggish for me,i got sick and a headache after 1 hour of herolag

The game from the first link,is pretty nice....i played a few hours.The building and recruit system from the magic dudes are nicely done.

I downloaded rise and fall of civ's and it works great, almost zero lag unless its a huge army of 4 or 5000 men even then very little lag. i love it because it combines rts genre game with M&B-ish sorta style, I LOVE IT. Specially since it is in the ancient era.
