Default Surname Parameter in expanded.txt ?

John Samuels, who is made Emperor with the input "Emperor %S" on the EMT_FACTION_LEADER_NAME line, yields "Emperor John". Is anyone aware of which parameter substitutes the surname, so it would yield "Emperor Samuels"? Or, alternatively, does removing anything from that line remove the name change or does it make him have no name(if the latter, is there anyway to mask the name change and not reflect it in a title)?

I'm looking to have a faction heir appear like a regular general. The little icon on the family tree is inconsequential as the teutonic family tree doesn't actually have a family tree page.

Removing the "Emperor" would display him as "John", allowing to give him a title via epithet. When "Samules" would not be a name but an epithet too you could change that into "Emperor Samuels" when becoming faction leader, having him displayed as "John Emperor Samuels".

That's outside the box thinking, not sure it would be adaptable though. I'd need to know his surname in order to make that work as an epithet, and have epithets for every possible last name. It could work as a one-off thing, but the goal is to make it so when someone becomes faction heir there's no external indicators, as there wouldn't have been any defined succession so it's disparaging when the player knows who will succeed next.

    {EMT_ENGLAND_FACTION_LEADER_NAME}King %S
    {EMT_ENGLAND_FACTION_LEADER_TITLE}Faction Leader

Curiously, removing the red entries leaves our good man only with the first name, but at least even the tooltips don't indicate him as a leader. I tried making the faction leader trait hidden, but ended up having CTDs - so couldn't figure if that might have helped.

No, it is just a trait. You can make it hidden, change it, replace it with another trait, give it to anyone or to no one, but it doesn't do a thing - apart from what traits usually do.

For dHRR 0.8 I have already replaced most of "King %S" with "nothing" and give FL and FH titles via epithet only (like all other FMs with a title). This allows for changing FL titles during the campaign, but also allows for FLs to use another title than the leader-title of his faction. For example the FL of Lorraine becoming King of Jerusalem can that way change his title from "Gottfried Dux Lotharingie" to "Gottfried Rex Hierosolymae".

I thought that might be the only option.
Lots of names = lots of traits\epithets
