This thread if for developing the War Party / Peace Party system for the Song Dynasty. Some initial thoughts:
- Counter values between 0-200, each 1 represents 0.5%
- Each character has an affiliation based on other traits and the situation at court. Harder to modify affiliation later.
- Ethnicity impacts affiliation. Northerners much more likely to be War Party, for instance.
- Chief Councillor elected based on which party holds majority
- Different effects for every 10% change: 0/100, 10/90, 20/80, 30/70, 40/60, 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, 80/20, 90/10, 100/0.
- Ability to check using an extension of the diplomacy scroll, event images for all of the above 'milestones' to simplify the # of historic events needed.
So there's a lot that can make this more complex that needs to be determined. What types of things should bump towards war party and by what %? What about for peace party? Which traits should affect affiliation, and traits should be affected by affiliation? What should the effects of the milestones of distribution be(positive and negative)? Got some more ideas along these lines, but input is appreciated.
