    Default end turn time...

Yes it does have a tendancy to take a while (obviously depends on the speed of your PC), but it's still (in my opinion) by far the best mod out there. I tend to have the TV on in a background or read a book whilst playing DLV. The delay between turns just build up the tension for me.

I do the same. I take my time on my turns since I know it'll be a while before my next turn.

    Dear Kuwn,
Due to the fact that DLV is a script-heavy mod the turns take some time - maybe a little bit more than in other mods.
BUT this is relevant to the specs of your computer, too.
For me, every turn takes 25-30 secs (DLV 6.1 with many mini-mods added) which is not a lot of time.
So, there is not a standard answer to your question...

    Cheers
    Agis
A mini-mod is never late! Nor is it ever early. It arrives precisely when I mean it to do!

The fact that DLV use a long loading time gives me an exscue to play dlv while I study on my new career
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

On my older PC (about 4 years old) turn times were over 5 minutes. On my newer PC they are only about 20-30 seconds at most.

takes a while, yes. psycologically i find its acually better mods with fast turns usually drive you to play quick. the pace of the game increases, you play faster, tend to autoresolve its almost arcade/action

with slower end turn time you are allowed to dive deeper into the game mentally. you think about your short and longterm goals of your campaign, maybe imagine one of your characters better according to his traits, lay back and smoke a joint, simply enjoy the game.

a thing i used to do is to do pushups betwen turns or dishes or some basic cleaning up or doing my paper work. i never did stuff like chatting, whatching tv etc as it drags me out of the fantasy world the game creates for me. thats just me, i could never play a ww2 fps while listening to hip hop music
