    Default FMIR first non-official preview

Here are some pictures that I have taken for an interview with The10thLegion. I thought that you might like to see them.

They are from a custom battle that I played with Pontus against the Seleucids. Hope you enjoy them:

The Pontic Khalkaspides, created using a model from Ferres' Greek units.

The Seleucid Thureophoroi (using a model created by Prometheus and modified by bladerunner), trying to break the Pontic phalanx...in vain

Clash of phalanxes! The Seleucid phalangites are also a creation of Prometheus, for Res Gestae.

In the meantime, the Seleucid Companion cavalry (again, model by Prometheus) tried to outflank my line. It took the combined strenght of my own Pontic Hetairoi (our adaptation of Prometheus model) and of the Asiatikoi Hippeis cavalry (model by Atilla Reloaded, again changed to suit our mod), to defeat them.

    Finally, two goodies:

Parthian Cataphracts, created from a model by Atilla Reloaded, charging across the forest, in another custom battle.

The campaign map, modified over Europa 270BC map, created by Webbird.

Due to some problem in my game configuration, I have not been able to take screenshots in campaign mode, yet.

Please notice that the standards and generals showed in custom battle are still wip.

Ah....a light at the end of the tunnel.
Alexander the great reported in 326BC india, that his men where afraid to go into the caves...because of the dragons living there
Even Herodotus wrote...that he saw wingend serpents in arabia.
The word Dinosaur wasn't in the english dictonary untill 1860...WHY??
Because now we question the existence of god...Thats exactly what the elite(nwo, bohemian club, bilderberg group and all the other sunworhippers) want.
Hollywood, the music and game industry are now ruled by the illuminati.Just check how many times you see a pyramid(satanic symbol),or 1 eye(the all-seeing eye of horus=satanic symbol),a checkered black and white floor or walls(masonic floor) in games, movies and cd covers. They hide messages in there products.
And dont accept the FEMA chip....its the mark of the beast

    Specially for you, my friend:

The Armenian General (Armeniakoi Somatophylakes), based on another unit by Prometheus:

And the Armenian Cataphracts (Nakhararakan Aspet). Again based on Prometheus cataphract from Res Gestae:

Sorry about the interface, it will probably be the same of Pontus.

Salvor, Im hoping to take only 4 pictures for the interveiw as the article is already much bigger than most of the other ones if you have read the Silver Shield before. I would really recommend putting in the picture of the Armenian cataphracts though, those are sweet.

seconded. one of the most beautiful units i've seen so far. kick ass!

as of online battles i dont think anyone has much of a chance whilst weilding a standart "western" army against all cavalry, nomad force. it is a pain in the butt big time. i used to play RTR online as Armenia and only 4 units of HA were often enough to rid my self off entire enemy cavalry and seriously cripple his main body of infantry.

Damn right. The only way to deal with Horse Archers is, barring other horse archers, massing foot archers and javelin cavalry.

I have a few questions, sorry if you have answered them before...

    Will we have named legions?
Will we stilll have the script that creates a full legion after the recruitment of a general?
    Will we have recruitable govenors?
What is the end dates for all the campaigns?
How will you let us defeat the Numidian King Jugurtha? Wasn't he captured?

Thanks to all of you for your support. So far the only factions with significant gaps on their roster are the Romans, the Socii and the Cimbri/Teutones. These are three major factions, LOL.

So if you are interested in seeing any faction units in particular, just let me know.

    Now, to answer some questions:

Although I think that Bucellarii might answer this better, I do not think so. There are no reported named legions for this period, as far as I know.

Will we stilll have the script that creates a full legion after the recruitment of a general?
Probably. Although, again, it will depend on Buc's opinion.
    Will we have recruitable governors?
    Again, it is quite possible.

What is the end dates for all the campaigns?
The all-factions campaign will probably last until 58BC. These are 200 turns, more than enough to conquer the world.

Marius campaign will probably end after the First Mithradatic War, in 84 BC

Sulla campaign will probably end after the Civil War against the successors of Marius, in 82 BC, after the Battle of Colline Gate.

How will you let us defeat the Numidian King Jugurtha? Wasn't he captured?
You have a point there. Due to the restrictions of the engine, we will probably have to limit the success of the mission to killing Jugurtha.

Well if I may offer a suggestion, I noticed that you guys have a trait that makes generals un-movable. Maybe if you had Jugurtha stuck in a settlement or fort with the un-movable trait and have a Sulla led legion attack it you could simulate the capture of Jugurtha.

Im looking forward to this Im having too much fun with 77 B.C. right now
