Newbie issues

Hi guys,
I've installed the Gold 6 for Rome, and when I've tried to start a game it crashes after the very first screen, the one with the Sega logos and legal copyrigth stuff. I've no clue about how any of this stuff works so if someone could explain to me in good old plain English how to get it working I''ll be very grateful.

RTR6 is made for RTW versions before 1.5 patch / BI 1.6.
If you have the Gold Edition on DVD or patched your version to the last ones above, you should install RTR PE instead ( the modswitch version preferably, wich wouldn´t ovewrite your original RTW vanilla files, but create a separate folder ).
Also pay attention at the installing path: RTW 1.5/ BI 1.6 will have Creative Assambley and not Activision, while the default settings for it in RTR is Activision ( it´s been a while it was created ).
