HOI3 on Steam ?

i highly doubt it. Paradox uses Gamersgate.

It'll be on Steam as well as Impulse, D2D, and of course Gamersgate.

Thanks , i was just wondering because i bought DOW 2 off ebay second hand and Steam would not let me install because the CD key had already been activated

so i dont want that trouble again , god i hate steam , btw if anyone is looking to pre-order HOI3 you can find it for £24.99 at Play.com here is the link , I have already pre-ordered a copy ,I cant wait to get stuck in.

Well i think its anoying if you cant buy a used game or borrow it from a friend and it said it was new when i bought it because the people had only tested it to make sure it worked

Well I think I misunderstood what you had originally asked.

The game will only require Steam if you actually purchase the game through Steam. If you buy it anywhere else then there aren't any security checks as Paradox doesn't add any to there games. So for HoI 3 you can buy the game used and it'll still work fine.

I dont know if you can get it off steam ( i would have thought you could because they have most game demos ) but if you go on http://www.hoi3.com/ you can download the demo from there tomorrow

If you pre downloaded it yesterday then it's just been unlocked, I'm playing it as I type this. It may be available on other sites as well but the Paradox forums have crashed so I'm not positive if it's available all over yet or not.
