Re: 198 - 197 BC
Try going through that AI turn without first turning on the backround script.

Thanks. But I tried that the fourth time round, it still gets stuck on Eleutheroi.

try loading a previous saved file a few decades at least back go next turn, then reload your current game and see if it still causes any trouble...

Re: 198 - 197 BC
you can try taking control of the eleutheroi, go to to where you instaled your game, find the file EB-Data-Scripts-show_me-EBBSCPIPT.txt near the end and before end_script type the following console_command control slave, then load your game activate the script then F1,(?), show me how, and you should shift to the eleutheroi faction, change things a bit, move characters check for queued buildings that are about to finish and see if there are any eleutheroi armies closely clustered together and disband them(save first of course), then go next turn, if you succeed in passing the turn without the ctd, save the game and go back to the EBBSCPIPT.txt and change the faction to parthia, load the saved game, do the previous steps again and you should shift back to your faction, then remove the entire console_command ect.. from the EBBSCPIPT.txt.
P.S: make sure you make a copy of the EBBSCPIPT.txt, in case you mess things by mistake.

Daryush,
Having the same problem but as Rome around the same timeframe ... is it planned obsolescence??? I hope that you find a solution less drastic than mine was ...
