The maximum line of sight bonus for a trait or ancillary is +5. Is there any way around this? Is this the maximum bonus for a character, or can it be cumulative through multiple traits, adding up to say, +15, or +20?

I think it should be cumulative, but haven't tested it myself. You should try it by making two traits with +5 each and give them one after the other via console. The LOS should be about doubled when giving the second trait.

Okay, will report my findings, but I don't think it is going to work. I already tried scripting in an ancillary each turn, doubling line of sight every turn, but nothing happened. Thanks.![]()

No joy. None whatsoever. I added two traits one after the other, then took them off in reverse order. Only +5 line of sight was added.

Good to know, so this is not cumulative above 5.
What raises the next question: LOS is one of the "hidden attributes", and different to stuff like command stars and piety, it is not cumulative. Does this follow that the other "hidden attributes", like law or trading, aren't cumulative too, or are only up to 5?

Hold on, check the traits that spies have. Do their increases also cap out at 5? They have 10 levels of traits, and each seems to add a level to the line of sight.

Okay, opened up the file—I can only find five levels of positive traits and three levels of negative. The positive traits, you guessed it, they add up to +5 LineOfSight!![]()

Quite some time ago I tested LineOfSight and the most I could get was a plus 25% no matter how I stacked up bonuses.

so 5 = 25% which means it's 5% for each point. SI there a way to increase the standard LOS and then give everyone a trait to decrease the LOS to get a better affect?
