No one asked the people of South Tyrol if they wanted to join Italy, they were simply annexed in all the fun that happened after WW1. Seems like it might be fair to ask them if they want to rejoin the country they were ripped away from.

If they want to stay in Italy thats cool too though.

Agreed. Much territory from WW1 was unfairly distributed. Austria and Hungary in particular was stripped to the bone by greedy neighbours.

I don't think that any European Countries' borders are changing anytime soon, especially with the EU around. I therefore doubt that a right winger party's territorial claims are going to affect anything.
