Why can't I train my damn mailed knights?

Well? They're never in stock, and it always says that the next one will be available in 9 turns. This is ridiculous... Why even bother buying the necessary buildings when I can't even train them?

Did a search, checked a list and found nothing to answer my question. So that's why I made this post. For a question that has been raised 20 billion times (Not a small number by any shot) I was surprised when I couldn't find a single thread about it.

Again: Why can't I train those damn knights? I DID check out the list about Grym's reality mod thing, but it did not mention anything that was relevant to this issue.

I'm sure if you searched on 'greyed out' or 'can't train' you'd find something. But the following should fix it:

This is from the first post in the BGR thread:

Data.zip: Important Note
If you installed BGRIII using the Stainless Steel 6.1 installer you NEED this fix. It is at the bottom of this post, called "data.zip".
Simply unzip it and place the resulting data folder here:C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\ , then start a new campaign.

This update is essential because it puts back important code that was somehow removed from the ss6.1 installer version.

You will need to restart the campaign.

I did a search on "can't train units" and found several threads in the first 2 pages. Use the "show posts" option for better results when you search.
