    Claimants too
    Dominance

    only changes would be possibly improving the Ai with Dart Ai or Xbai or some simili
    a longer campaign(say 500 turns 1 turn per year 1000 a.d.-1500 a.d.)
    and faction name changes
    farms,markets,roads,ports and merchants themselves generate twice the wealth as in vanilla
    and you also get trade bonuses fron brothels,taverns and churchs as well
    and also farms and markets contribute to public happiness( a good economy should mean a happy populace right? not like all these good though in some ways but very impractical as your economy grows your public order worsens, mods which really truly does not say much about the conception of the mod! adding tedious and ridiculous elements to mods (like garrison scripts,feild costs and ai add money scripts) only scripts will be a limit to how many settlements you can take every five years say one per turn)
    and a restrictive script which allows the Ai to have no more than %50 of its units in the feild at once also an equal distribution script for the remaining %50) is a lack of ingenuinity to make a mod more complex perhaps make victory conditions take more effort!
    like this idea! to win you must hold sixty regions but have two allies( meaning you cannot just go a rampage and attack anyone! these allies would be fixed say if your Milan ( the Swiss northern Italian alliance )they are France (Chez` Francia) and the HRE of course you would start the game neutral and have too form them!
    "the Grand economic growth mod" so to speak!
    no more ending your turn broke!
    the major change and goal of this mod is to reskin every factions ui cards (just their colors nothing else)
    this mod will just like vanilla
    but played on the extensive re-done map(yes of Europe, middle east and the Americas, but completly new settlements aimed more at balance than historic accurracy) with advanced Ai and all completly reskinned factions and units
    I am open to suggestions
    for the mod, offers of help and any and all advice you would like to share!


    this is not the most exciting proposal it is just an attempt at making my first viable mod

    Milan vanilla colors GReen and white new colors dark and light purple new name Swiss/northern Italian alliance(and will also have swiss pikemen reskinned in their colors)

    Spain vanilla colors yellow and red new colors baby blue and burgundy new name casa de deo mios

    France vanilla colors light blue and white new colors navy blue and dark grey new name Chez` Francia

    HRE vanilla colors black and yellow( the taxi cab militia! LO!) new colors gold and silver no new name

    Hungary vanilla colors brown,green and pink new colors yellow and light green new name the Hungarian orthodoxy

    Poland vanilla colors white and red new colors brown and dark grey new name the Baltic confederation

    Aragon they will remain as in Pder,Dlv europa and SS new name kingdom of the Pyrenees

    Portugal vanilla colors blue and white new colors Green and red Famila portugese`

    Byzantium vanilla colors purple new colors dark grey new name council of Constantinople

    Sicily vanilla colors black and white new colors yellow and brown the southern Italin states

    Papal_states they will keep their colors as in original (except now have Genovese crossbowmen reskinned in their colors and be playable) new name the Vatican offices

    Scotland vanilla colors navy blue and white new colors light and dark pink new name the Highland union

    Russia vanilla colors royal blue new colors light and dark grey new name the Duchy of Moscow

    England vanilla colors red and yellow new colors Black and white new name the righteous kingdom of England

    Venice vanilla colors red and white new colors burgundy and yellow new name the Medici` militia





    moors vanilla colors brown and dark yelow new colors light and dark red new name the unified tribes of the Sahara

    the turks vanilla colors yellow and green new colors brown and dark red new name the indo-European Dynasty

    Egypt vanilla colors gold and light brown new colors Navy blue and dark grey new name the Sultante of Cairo

    yes some artisctic licencse is taken in terms of the names and colors but otherwise it will be as possiblely close to historic and original game authenticity

    if possible I would add more factions and elements please make suggestions

    factions
    names
    units
    colors
    whatever but please contribute
    help is unlikely but I need someone who can help me
    with the map and some one who can aid me in the skinning
    all other elements of this proposal I will be responsible for

    Well, only one question. Why? TWC is packed with vanilla improving mods like PDER, DLV, SS, SUS, TLR etc. Why make one more?

    BECAUSE i WANT TOO! SAVE THE COMMENTARY IF IT IS NOT PRODUCTIVE FOR THE PROPOSAL! you can critique and judge it when it is done! but yes you are right many vanilla improving mods exist but that does not mean they all got it right for you!...........

    Actually its productive for the proposal!! Instead of making yet just another same (or better yet similar) mod to a dozen others, pick the best AI possible, and make a mod with 4-7 factions only, diverse, of your own imagination, or follow a lore, or whatever who cares. Something like Thera would be welcome you know. A 4 faction mod, hell, even a 2 faction mod would be better than the same old same old Europe map, and all the vanilla + kingdoms factions implemented.

    @Commenus well that is what my other proposal "Claimants,heirs and conquerors" (alot of complex ideas in it,not an easy task fdor an expirienced modder) ) is but I am not getting any help with it so this is an attempt to get my feet "wet"

    Well if i could mod myself, i would be flooding TWC with mods on a regular basis (yeah the goods of being single and student). Thing is i will need around 6 months to learn photoshop, let alone all the tools and utilities to mod M2TW. So instead of throwing my cute little ideas on the table, i can hardly do anything else for a mod. Yeah ok, i guess if i could find my old microfones and consoles i could record stuff for a mod, but thats all pretty much. What else can i do? I can draw unit concepts, and thats all pretty much.

    @ Commenus WELL ACTUALLY I am in the same boat but I am hoping as I learn more and more about the workings and editing that can be done with the game engine somebody with skills at skinning or those more "artistically oriented" aspects of modding will help me also I am a student too, graduate program in humanities

    Yeah and that was my point in any case. Start easy. Find a lore, a story, something, or come up with one. You dont have to make everything from scratch. First, try to reskin some units, good enough to be different from the original game. Make some new factions, a map, get a good enough AI, and there you have it.

    I proposed this because I am getting no help this one may be one I can handle with out anyones help! they all say learn to mod( yes and as much as you can) but the reality is no matter how smart or how quickly one learns your not going to make a decent modder out of a complete novice overnight! those who peruse these pages and can mod have no business commenting on ones need to be skilled (especially if they are not willing to help!) this is and am I correct simply the mod proposal forum not the mod workshop yes actual mods being worked on are focused here but it also a place to throw "around" ideas which I have done! I will be quite frank and say I want to make a mod everyone of us who enjoys the game can play! but if your novice yourself with opinions feel free to state your opinions but if seriously have and working on developing mods save your critiscism! This is my simple "no brainer mod" because obviously no one attributes merit to my other proposal! and this is one me a mere novice can aclomplish SOLO!
