    First off, let me say that I totally dig this mod - it makes Kingdoms so much better. That being said, is there any chance that there will be an option in future versions to not use BBB? I see the value in the submod, but I personally find the extra problems with rebellion too tedious to deal with.

    Thanks gigantus for all the hard work you've put into mod making it work with Kingdoms and making it work better.

    Sorry cant answer ur question fieldwarden.

    Billy Dilly: Many of the starting Archer/Spear Militia units are missing in the game. When you play a battle they are invisible or silver. I think Gigantus is cleaning up in that department.

    If you want to fix the peasant picture you have to make a new one.
    Is it possiable to use the same archer militia pictures from the origional M2TW? Or didnt vinnala have any archer milita? I cant remember. I know that there are some crossbow milita for most factions but i dont remember seeing any archer militia.

    Just wondering... If I was to replace the modded "export_ancillaries.txt' and "export_ancillaries.txt.strings" with the ancillarie files from the origional MEII game, would this create a ctd or error? I know that alot of the characters in the game start off with some ancillaries from this mod and I'm courious to know if the game will continou to run without them?

    On another note, somehow I've disrupted sicily. Seem's every time I go to start a new campagin with sicily, the game instantly ctd. The other factions work fine but for some reason, when in the faction selection menu, when I click sicily its ctd. Ive been using the Geomod btw.
    I checked for some common errors that I had created befor but fixed, things like:
    - characters in the family tree not correctly put in order of age.
    - clones of characters in the map.
    - something missing.
    - or a deleted character, but was still appearing in the descr_strat, theirfor in the game.

    Sicily being played by a AI seem to work ok with no problems, irrelivant to which faction I'm playing.

    But it dosnt look helpfull.

    I'll still be looking for the problem myself but Ive checked the most common mistakes and havnt found anything :l

    Heres a list of things I've done recently (that I can remember) to sicily that might have caused the error (using the geomod):

    - moved settlements.
    - moved characters (generals, captians, spys etc).
    - Deleted a character.
    - moved resources within sicily regions.
    - added some extra starting structures for settlements (ie: roads, markets, barracks).
    - after deleting a settlement and its region south of sicily (it was on a extremely small island), I transferred the region sicilys closest region. I'll cover more info on this later).
    - rearanged some of the terrain around some of the settlements.


    Other then that, the campagin map I've been editing is going pretty well with everything looking natural or better. I'll cover on that info later on as I get closer to finnishing polishing it up.

    Try changing 'horde_min_named_characters 0' to 'horde_min_named_characters 1'. Or something higher.

    I had the same problem, but when I changed 0 to 1 it worked. Doesn't the line mean that the minimum size of the horde is 0? Minimum can't be 0 (zero).

    It means: how many named characters should be in the stack\horde at least.
    You can't have a horde without a named character. That's what the error message is all about.

    I changed the horde_min_named_characters to 1 from 0. But that didnt stop sicily from doing a ctd when I click it in the faction selection menu.

    Those are only trait errors and should not be fatal.
    Change your log setting from *error to *trace and run the game again. You will have a huge log now. Compress it and attach. We might get an indication what happened.

    Trait errors aren't fatal. But I can see that ancillary 'ccrown013' is missing, that is the Swedish Crown, I will upload a new version later today.

    In my game (with Burgundy modded in) I had the same problem in the faction selection menu, I went through all the files and suddenly it worked - don't know excactly why.

    I was playing a game befor and decided to check up on the other factions, to see how they were going (toggle_fow). I saw sicilys banners and regions were coloured yellow and red insted of gray and white (which was kinda funky and cool) but I switched them back to their normal colors anyway. Still cant play sicily tho >.< hmmmm maybe Im not looking in the right places? The Geomod dosnt show anything different to the descr_strat. And both look normal anyway, so mayber its a different file thats not error free.

    Edit: Why is it that sicily is so special in the log files? Why dont the other factions get mentioned?

    When I had this problem and getting these errors, I just had to reload the mod and start modding it, again, keeping a better log of my changes and many more backups of those files. Sometimes it's easier to go back to square one and a fresh start.

    Ive spent to much time getting the map to were it is now. Going back isn’t a option I’m willing to take. Even though I have a backup copy, it isn’t near the quality of the one I’m working on now. Its a minor obstruction, sicily's problem will be revealed and dealt with accordingly.

    Ahhha I fixed it. I've got sicily running again Thx for the encouragement guys

    I was searching (again) through the Geomod going through the 'factions' tab looking at sicilys details and checking on its 'generell', 'campagin', 'Genealogy' & 'Nomadism' details.

    In the 'campagin' tab I was checking sicilys victory conditions for a long campagin and I got a Error message saying: "The victory conditions of sicily include the region: 'Malta_Province'. The region dose not exist in the database and will be ignored".

    So while in the Geomod I searched for the 'Malta_Province' and couldnt find it. I checked the descr_strat and couldnt find the base either. But It was in the descr_win_conditions file.

    I hardly ever play on short campagins and I didnt think to try to see if the short campagin worked... But it did (short campagins dont require players to capture regions).

    So with that the Malta_Province dosnt exist, the long campagin would make up a error and ctd. So in theory if I get rid of Malta_Province from the 'long campagin, victory requirments' it should work. Turns out I was correct. Make note: victory conditions are very sensative, any change involving the VC will effect the faction.

    Also I belive that the Malt_Province is the very small island that is below Sicily_Messina. As I deleted that region and merged it with sicily_messina I didnt make sure to check anyones victory conditions to see if they were going for a deleted base which was problem in the first place. OH and also since I deleted that base (which imo was useless) that means theres 1 more region spair for the map.

    A typical case of digging a hole, not knowing what all falls in, and then falling in yourself.

    Did you remove the region with Geomod? If so, then I will try to replicate that error and tell Octavius to figure out a check for it.

    Edit:
    Just checked it. The name does not get automatically removed. Only (as you described) when you go into the fractions victory conditions. I will tell Octavius and see if he can do something about it.
