How do u add one unit to another faction?

Hi i was just wondering ho u added one unit to another faction? i have gotten as far as getting them to show up in the campaign but not on the battle map, they are present they are just invisible. does anyone have any idea on wat i need to do? detailed step by step instructions would be awesome, sorry im new to moddding so im kinda in that lost phase lol. and i did look for this but all i could find was stuff for empire total war and i need help with medieval 2 total war. thanks in advance for any help!

i have checked that out a bit and it has helped some, i was looking for something that would explain battle_models like i have gotten the unit states changes and everything and the buildings can make the unit its just when i play a battle the units are invisible so i dunno, thanks for the help though i really appreciate the quick answer.
