    Default Help with mongols!

Help, i'm just dying in my mongol game(6.1 with last BB, main campaign) medium/medium with all script(except ai style) activated.
To the begin of the game, i just waited and building in my two cities, i was very rich and i invested a lot. Finally i was boring, so i took ryazan(rebels) and 15 turns after, i declared war to kiev(who had moscow and some cities under me), i tried to invade the two cities under me but my units and my generals sucks! I can just recruits militia and peasants, this is frustrating because kiev has powerful elite infantry units, so i just can't win against them! Other problem: my armies lost all their supplies very quickly(i think that mongols should be exempt of tis phenomenon, even with the script, after all they was nomads!), so i just can't cover the big teritories properly!
Other problem: my leaders don't stop to fall of their horses, it's very frustrating, after all mongols was great rider, in my game, my generals just don't stop falls! Even a baby should be better rider than them!

Mongol Uls should expand etremly from the start, since they are such a small faction. Try to catch every rebel settlment from north of Georgia, black sea(caffa), around Kiev, and north around Rus. You will gain many Castles and large Cities around Moscow. Heavy Generals will spawn like never before, and you will be able to recruite 8 horse units(4 melee cavalry/4HA) at the time, at each castle(5). I had 130 000 florins at my most, playing Mongol Uls. Then start your wars.

Mongol Khan and his Heir recieves 10 etra movement points, from their banners. Also build explorers guild, this will grant your military generals with an extra push aswell.

How to capture and mobileiz multiply siege's:
    1. Send out 1 infantry unit(militia will do) to each settlement you plan to cover. Not siege it, but whait outside.
    2. Then man up your 100% Horse army and general, and visit each of these (targeted)settlements you plan to cover.
    3. These (militia) infantry units will whait and be there when the horse army arives. And stay there to guard it as a milita, when the horse army march out to the next (targeted)settlement.

And what the hell is a "stop-fall"?
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Thanks! The falls are the fact that a general gain a trait who said"fallen ill", this trait give him a lot of penalty!

Oh yeah. I HATE that trait. You get it a lot if your generals are out campaigning (which mine are even during peacetime to get those knightly banners). I usually make a beeline for the nearest settlement as soon as they fall ill. Sometimes it can really ruin your plans (especially if you're in the middle of a nasty war).

The worst is when they are "bed ridden". Then they can't move at all and their armies will slowly starve as they run out of supplies...

ok i made what you said and i have now 6 or 7 towns, thanks! The problem is that these towns are not well defended and kiev is attacking one of my town with a full army and he's get horse archer, so my horse archer are not enough to win!

Noone's mentioned it yet so I will: Mongols are not a faction that is well implemented for the player.

The units are overpowered. The start is hard but the middle is so easy it's no fun. And the end game? You will be way too bored by the lack of challenge to play that far.

So at first it's a faction which is tough to play, challenging, but then it becomes the noob faction, way too easy and thus boring.

Even as messed up a it is I am sure some people will like to play this faction, I suppose it's a matter of how much you love Mongols

I tried a game once as the Mongols but never made it the middle game. I got too bored just sitting around and waiting for the rest of the hordes to show up.

Yeah, i'm in 1228 and it becomes easier(a little bit!). If mongols are not implemented for the player why don't make them more enjoyable? In all case, i'm a great fan of the mongol civilisation, the"last angry of nomads against sedentary". I'm always in admiration before the khan's armies who destroyed so many ennemy with a little number of men!

I was told the MOngols don't actually arrive if you play them...

Ah, well, that would explain why they never showed up, then.

Plus it took forever to get anywhere since you start all the way in the top corner of the map...
