Nigeria might sound a distant place but it is one of the most important countries in Africa.During the last days hundreds have being killed in attacks by a radical Islamic group.While many times in the past there was a bloodshet between Muslims and Christians in the area its the first time that an Islamic militant group has grown so strong to challenge in that way the government.For me the situation there is another proof that muslim world is getting more and more radical

Boko Haram means "Western Education is Prohibited." Same scenario as Europeans rejecting madrassas in their cities, these Hausa clerics and community leaders simply want to implement religious-based methods of teaching.

My take on this is an Islamic fundamentalist revolt in Nigeria. This is no surprise, its been long overdue since Nigeria is literally the last Muslim state not to see a fundamentalist revolt of some kind, though from an outside perspective I'd say its unnecessary. Muslims in Nigeria get the better side of the pillow and their cities see quite a bit of investment and attention, they even get Shariah where applicable. This is just a power struggle.

If you wanna see a war, you gottsa look at an African war. They dont **** about. They got machetes and spears and they will **** you in the ass and eat you. Those guys can kill like a million people in a day and still have time to spear you in the ass and then eat your ass out. Basically, if you're stuck in the middle of an African war, you can kiss your ass goodbye cos its gonna be speared, beaten, chopped and eaten.

No. From what I seen, the vast majority are fanatical in their beliefs, they are just not violent in fear of death.
