I'd already seen that trailer - laughed so hard when I first saw that! "C'est pas d'un tortus!"
i think the last sentence means "To the pub!" or something to that effect. :p

PseudoRomanus has already done some work on this which is awesome. He's just sent me a preview video which is stunning, just needing some (ideally) customised music for it.

Here it is. I've mentioned removing the banners already to him. It'd be great if Elendil could produce a score for this:

Also any comments on the subtitles would be good.

That video is excellent. But I didn't really get what it is for. Is it the roman intro vid?

Some of the wording could do with rephrasing slightly, but it is an absolutely epic video - it'd be nice to see some of the auxilia, too. but no doubt about it, it's an incredible video.

I agree some auxiliaries would be great to have featured. Obviously the video quality will be better too.

It would be great if we could do a voiceover rather than captions. Anyone have a deep voice?

Personally I'd prefer to see captions than hear a voiceover, however deep and husky the voice

Really? I always enjoyed the voiceovers of the vanilla intro videos - especially the greek one. But that's just me

Good music + text would be perfect methinks....the voice distracts from the images on screen?

A poor attempt on rephrasing but:

In a time of many peoples,

    A time of fracturing Empires

    And shifting power

    One city will rise

    One nation will unite

    One people shall rule all

    Her armies will march

    To the deserts of Africa

Through the forests of Britannia and Germania

    Through Hispania and Gallia

    To Mesopotamia and Aegyptus

You see, those are great words...but a video is much more epic when the words are spoken epicly (I know that isn't a word ).

I also think it should say TO africa, rather than from. Otherwise it sounds like they come from africa.

I disagree....think about many epic movie trailers - the Lord of the Rings ones for example. The impact is made greater by the lack of voice over, together with the visual images and great music.
