So, when you start the game there is a message telling you not to cheat because of unforseen consequinces...
A friend of mione started a cheating campaingn but nothing happened???
Was anyone "punished" for cheating???

Yes. If you cheat by using the console commands at turn 41 you are punished by Mordors and OotMM trolls for your evil sorcery! Oh and you get erectile disfunction. Have fun!

Almost every (larger) mod has a similar message at the beginning explaining some of the special (house) rules that should be respected in order to have a satisfying gaming experience. In this case the message merely tries to be humorous, there are no actual consequences.

I don't understand why so many people take it literally.
