How you obtain the rings?
I killed generals with rings but i didn't get their rings

i thinkk you have to stay in moria with a general after you killed the
general with the 'one ring'. buy hey - TATW 1.2 will be advanced
in th whole ring treatment.

i klled him with rohan and silvan elfs an stayed in moria near 10 turns but nothing happened

Check all your generals in the area. It could go to anyone.

what happen if your general with ring is killed in battle but you win and have second general in army?

I read these forums regularly but I haven't seen anywhere that elaborates on the 'one ring' involvement in 1.2 Does anyone have any further insight? I'm just curious.... The concept intrigues me.

You can also only get the elven rings(verify?) and the one ring from generals you kill, not the nazgul rings.

I would really like it, if the ringbearer might turn traitor and form his own faction, becoming an dark lord to rival sauron.

But what faction would he be? He cant run around solo him and his bodyguard and actual challange Sauron. How could he challange him anyway? Sauron is safely nestled in his city on the edge of the world.

My HE king Elrond found the 1 ring after conquering Moria. Now HE is at war with Dwarves (hahaha I trample them underneath), Eriador, SE, and Gondor.

Might be because dwarves got the priority to take moria, i think.

when neXXX-fire ring is lost you go to elven city near to moria and after 2 turns general who is there get the ring

Well i think some men/orcs would flock to some guy with the power/charisma of the ring. Imagine Boromir or Aragorn corrupted by the ring.. Now that would be charismatic guys.

Well Boromir would probly muster the forces of Gondor and march to Mordor. Hed fail terribly, die and sauron would get the ring. Who knows what Aragorn might of done. Still what would the corrupted ring bearer do? How many followers could he get without being crushed by other factions?

Maybe the new lord of the rings could ask factions to help him..

Would probly require alot of scripting and all that jaz. It is a good idea though.

It was just an idea/guessing how the ring could be made more important.

I think it'd be cool if a Good faction got the ring, then they would get a mission to send thier general to capture Barad-Dur. If the captrue is succesful, the ring is destroyed and the faction is rewarded with 100,000 florins. If it fails, Mordor reclaims the Ring and it goes to the closest Mordor general in the area.

If an Evil faction got the ring, Sauron calls a crusade on the capital of every good faction.

I'm not sure if it is possible, but I think that is what would happen if Sauron had control of the Ring again or if a a King managed to get ahold of it.
