Venice only gained Crete from the Romans after the Fourth Crusade in 1204.

And no, the campaign map is not finished. I believe that it's going to be posted here in the next couple of weeks. You can see a couple of screenshots of bits of it in the Dev's blogs though.

    Awesome job, boys.

I just wonder if it is worth to keep the subsaharian rebel provinces instead of some european or middle-eastern ones.

First of all, great job guys. It has been some time since i've been so interested in new mod . And yes, to me Baltic region seems a bit too empty in settlements (I know there were almost no "real" cities there at that time but still, they where very important later). If you decide to reconcider this and add new city to Baltic, my suggestion would be adding Gardinas (Hrodno) since it has been in crossroad between Lithuanians, Poles, Ruthenians even Prussians and also was near river Nemunas. However, as someone said, the real picture of this map will appear after you will publish PSFs locations. Waiting for this impatiently, and maybe someone could reveal estimated date of this?... BTW, really wheres settlements of Iceland? Will be there any?

Yeah I can't help but think it might make more sense to have one coastal province that can be captured and then have the vast interior only have a single city that is uncapturable. For one thing this would encourage the AI moors to actually move towards Spain and the rest of North Africa instead of pissing around in the Sahara and it would free up some more city slots for other areas that could use them.

Regardless DotS is shaping up to be awesome. Can't wait to play it.

That is what i call unique presentation...!!!
    Exelent idea guys!
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

You sound very exited about Scandinavia - the idea's and plans you have for her. That leaves me in good faith.

I defiantly hope we will have more than just two settlements representing the land of the Geats and all the way up to Norrland.

But I'll wait to comment that untill the next map guide is released.

Thanks for your time Hross, it was indeed good news.

    Yepp.
Venice will have a very limited territory in 1080, as it was historically. It will have the ability to defend itself well however and with one of the strongest navies around it and a good economy it is likely to enter Dalmatia very quickly. It will have a good relationship with Byzantium and the HRE, and controlling the Adriatic will mean that they will be posed against Sicily for one.
The Faction Leader also begins with the historical title King of Dalmatia

Also take into consideration that this is only the 199 settlements; with over 300+ PSFs the map will be thriving with areas to attack, defend, and control. Gotte and Hross are currently working on the PSF interactive map which I'm guessing will be stage two of the Interactive Map. By the time it is completely done it will be an unrivaled tool for modders and the community for -hopefully- years to come.

Everyday I come to update on something for the mod is overwhelming; can't believe the wall we're scaling.

Very impressive, guys! Since it's never too early to start constructive criticism, here's one; Iraklion was known as Chandax to the Byzantines. Or have you just written names like that for ease and clearness? Either way, this looks excellent, well done! When do we get some screenshots of the actual map? Soon I hope...
