The more diversity the better. At some places I found it strange that there was no trees on strat map within hundred miles, yet the battle was fought in dense jungle. Happened few times on different parts of map.

I think the map still needs more forests and at least one REALLY defined mountain range (like the Alps in Stainless Steel. Gee, that's the most awesome view I've seen in a mod). Keep up the good work, I look forward for more updates

They look great - although the map atm is great, too.
I am in a real mess now. As my computer is totally crap, i was surprised that i was able to play on the campaign map fluently (which i couldn't do with other mods...), so i would say keep the map the way it is.
But the screens above.... argh, want to play on them...
Whatever you'll decide, i'll keep playing even if it lags horrible

Even with these added, it is easy to downgrade to the normal thera map. But rather strangly my version is working quicker with the new textues, which does suprised me

This is only a texture update, for a larger scale map overall I will need to either enlist the help of a good mapper, or do some reading in the tutorials sections. SO the major overall will be further down the development line, but it will get done, I have a scetched up version of the map, showing where I want some new strategic chokepoints, and a couple of mountain ranges

The new one is much better than before!
Like ARU say, "The more diversity the better".
But again I think, that the roma surrectum strat maps are the goal to reach
    But thats only my opinion.

    Cheers

My bad, I remembered it happening around Neue Welt for sure, went to check out the map and there are trees around, just didn't see them among the fields.

I am a mapping virgin , but this weekend, I plan to set some time aside to experiment with the map, I have spent the last couple of days swotting up in the mod workshop mapping section. So fingers crossed, version 3 will see a more diverse map.

and btw Jason, I can see your skill is already improving! Dude!
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!

It looks great, a mountain chain always make the map come alive a little I think. Though I usually play on the other side, but keep it up I think it will just add to the experience that is Thera.

The other textures looks good too, diversity is always welcome I say.

So I take it your two weeks of "no modding" is up, hope you had time to enjoy this mod yourself

Norselund is also being developed, much more dense forest, to hide those vikings in

Good hide them so they can strike with no warning, more fun

In this year dire portents appeared over Northumbria and sorely frightened the people. They consisted of immense whirlwinds and flashes of lightning, and fiery dragons were seen flying in the air. A great famine immediately followed those signs, and a little after that in the same year, on 8th June, the ravages of heathen men miserably destroyed God's church on Lindisfarna, with plunder and slaughter.
The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle for the year 793

Anyway I suspected that the whole map was getting a facelift so I wasnt nervous, not by much anyway
