Default Unspecified error CTD as KoJ

It's year 1221 with me playing as KoJ and I keep getting a CTD on the Ayyubid's turn. They have two family members and one city left and are vassals to the Makurians. The CTD always occurs on them.
Are there ways to bypass it?

Yes, you should try to go back few turns, say two years, reload savegame and replay these turns in a bit different way. But try not to do anything serious in your campaign, so you wouldn't have to reload the game around 1221.

Could a city revolting cause a CTD? Over the last few saves, I've been sending convoys of plague-bearing spies to the Abbasids. I'd say well over half their kingdom is infected. It probably doesn't matter since the CTD always occurs on the Ayyubids. I'm really stumped on what could be causing it. This is the only problem I've had with this campaign so far and I've been at it for a while. I'm just trying to troubleshoot all options.

I think it is possible.. indeed, you should try all options. Maybe just reload your last valid save and do nothing for a couple of turns to see, what will happen. But for me it is the same CTD wich occurs around 1204-1206 no matter what...

Yeah, it would probably be for the best if I reloaded a couple saves back and just continue from there. If it persists, then I guess I'm screwed.

    That's cool.

AFAIK it concerns only years 1204-1206, after that you can play without fear that you'll lose something important (like well fought battle). I think that this CTD appered also in BC 1.05, but I'm not sure.

My problem is similar to Fenix3279's. The game crashes at the Ayyubid's turn, the only difference is that I'm playing Armenia and the year is 1224. Is there any solution yet?

yeah, i have the problem too, forget about reloading another save, it just changes the year it crashes... mine crashed in 1229, loaded a 1219 save, played form there, now it crashes in 1232....

Can someone who's experiencing the CTD do a trial for me?

It would involve following (need to have some knowledge how EDB works):
Find descr_recruitment_building file in your data folder.
Clean the file of all unit (recruit unit lines)
Try the blank EDB in new campaign...it should load, otherwise you deleted more then units.
Then try to load the campaign file which crashes and do another turn.
    Report here what happens.

Hey, first of all thanks for this great mod.
But onto the point, i also have this CTD issue, however I'm playing Sindh, and crashing on the Turkish Sultanate turn, year 1235. I don't even interfere with them, yet whenever they take up the turn the game CTD's.
