Text Problem

I have no clue if this is a Vista problem, a Steam problem, or whatever else.

Whenever I play, text doesn't show up for the map tabs (Army, Navy, Buildings)
Or for building descriptions (Not the description page, the mouse-over)
Also it seems that no matter what buildings I build I can't recruit any new units.
This is for all factions.

Check, please, if you have "cursor_action_tooltips.txt" in broken_crescent\data\text folder.

I'm almost sure, that BC files do not get into proper place on your hd.

It is in there. Could you maybe link one of yours so I can compare and see what's wrong?

Did you install everything according to the instructions? Did you patch M2TW to v. 1.3?

I have Steam, which updates everything automatically, so I'm pretty sure I do. I installed everything right.

Oops! Seems I was wrong! Gonna patch it now, will I have to reinstall BC?

I had the same problem. You need to copy SOME of the standard text files from Vanilla or another mod (I used PDER) to your BC text folder.

Try these:
shared.txt
battle.txt
tooltips.txt
menu_english.txt

I can't remember if there are others.

I can't find a shared.txt., a tooltips, or an menu_english. ...What the hell? I just reinstalled, too... I don't understand. There's no text folder in /data for vanilla.

PDER's download isn't working right now; do you know of any others that'd work?

EDIT: Got PRED to work and fixed this! Thanks guys!
