    Default How to avoid CTD

I searched frum to solve my CTD problem, which wasn't that successful.

    I installed Kingdom 1.5 + DLV 6.1 + BB(latest) + Graphics Improve Project on Windows XP sp3.
My symptom is frequent CTD while clicking around campaign map buttons after 10 turns.
As turns go, I got more CTDs, now 30 turns as Georgia, I get CTD every turn.
My resonable PC had no problem while playing vanilas.

    Please help!

CTD's are wierd, 1st campaign as Norway, I only fight east of Hamburg/Bergen = no CTD for several 100s of turns
2nd campaign as Norway, I migrate down to Spain/Palma = CTD after 20 turns

    Try it
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

its weird, most of my ctds come during my turn while i'm browsing my cities or something. i click really quickly through towns and armies and the cpu's stuff. sometimes it happens during battle or happens from a single click somewhere.

i just take it as a sign from god that ive been playing too long and stop. or i start again haha

Good to hear similar situation. I also got CTDs while clicking browsing towns, generals on campaign map.
Luckily, I never had CTD during battle map.

Somehow, I suspect graphic (Unit card, etc) update (from DLV or UCIP) causing CTDs because I found pictures of family tree toggles (from old one to new one, and vice versa) upon reloading. Or it might be faction specific problem - georgia.

Since I really love this DLV campaign of Georgia, let me try reinstalling everything to see if it works.

It could be that just restarting your campaign will work, but reinstalling is a more thorough approach
