    Icon6 How to mod a unit just for one faction?

    I have been posting on these forums a lot lately with quite a few questions and I am sure this will be one of my last so lets say I want to mod the dragoons just for Britain, how would I go about doing that with no errors? Thank you

    Also I know how to create a new unit but other than unit_stats_land which other files do I have to edit to place them in the game?

    A list as far as i remember follows, all in DB

    building_units_allowed (controls which buildings feature the opportunity to recruit the unit)
    unit_required_technology (controls what techs the unit needs to be recruited, irrelevant for the regiment of horse, but not for dragoons, etc)
    unit_stats_land (controls stats, including the model)
    unit_to_unit_abilities (controls the abilities of a unit)
    unit_tables (defines the unit)
    unit_to_exclusive_faction_permission (refines the grouping structure, disable the old and enable the new units here)
    units_to_groupings_military_permssions (puts the units into recruitment-groups)

    I have just done everything you said and are no errors but it does not show up in custom battles or the campaign at all? Where have I gone wrong?
    Also I think I have done the units_to_groupings_military_permissions right because I only did it once for great_britain_group. Was this right?

    You need to turn it on for early and late custom battles in the unit tables, and you need to add a localisation entry for it in localisation.loc.
    Not actually on the moon.

    What do you want to change?

    Maybe the best way for you is simply make euro_dragoons_britain. This allows you to change the stats, textures, price and so on without crate a new model.

    the localisation file is in patch_en.pack

    I have no idea how to add localisations though, never done it myself.

    in the units_tables there are two entries for late and early (custom battle) aviability.
