Flaws

Guys, I've found, as a result of searching out this CTD in Rome, that there are some major flaws in the buildings and the settlement_plan that I have to resolve...particularly the barracks and the cavalry barracks. It would take a lot to explain it, but trust me when I say this is a serious problem I have to fix. I already knew there was an issue with the barracks and why the AI wasn't upgrading or buildings them at all in captured cities, but it turns out the problem is deeper than that. It will mean some major changes in EDB.txt, and all of the map files. So the next update is definitely going to blow away saved games. But it will take a while for me to fix this, as it is majorly complicated dealing with the stupid settlement plan and I want to get it right once and for all.

For now, do the best you can with your campaigns. I apologize for the snaffoo...but it's just one of things that you 'thought' was going to work that 'didn't'. I don't know how seriously this issue will effect campaigns, but if you run into CTD's in recruitment ques....that's the issue.

BTW, I noticed you were playing with FOW on......no, no, NO!!! You can't see what's going on if you can't see it!

Actually, they were of good use. It would appear I have fixed the issue without having to change a lot of map stuff. At least, I could go into your saved game (Main Campaign) and click all over the recruitment que with no CTD.

well i was playing the mod folderd game before the problems and that is already set with FOW off, it was only when i started playing the standard campaign that i realised I had a problem to report
