Default Would you still want Obama as President?

There has been talk these days that Obama cannot prove that he was born in America. Why then, did we let him run for president, the most powerful position in the country, nay the world arguably, with out making sure he fit the criteria!! I do not understand this.

This video is not meant as proof, just an example. I think it sums it up quite well, as it's not biased.

    Over McCain, hell yes.

You think Obama is running the US into a deficit, McCain would have spent that money on more troops externally.
The US would have been so entrenched in Iraq and Afghanistan (as well as Pakistan and Iran by now, in all probability), that it would require the same amount of money that Obama is spending on useful domestic stuff to keep going.

Of course, McCain wouldn't have borrowed it all like Obama has, he would made savage cuts, sacrificing the common American citizen for oil and influence wars.

    A religious Zionist blog?
Yeah, that's only slightly more reliable than Fox/Faux News.

You should look up McCain and his voting patterns, hes way more moderate then you give him credit, and when put up against Obama (who voted with his party 90%+ of the time), but I guess you dont read credible news over there if you think the US would invade Iran & Pakistan, and look how Obama is handling the wars, hes increasing the soldiers.

McCain also voted with Obama to cut the F-22, hows is that ramping up defense spending?

No, I'm saying that without Obama's entente attempts, Iran would have kicked off and Pakistan would be worse.

I highly doubt McCain would of invaded Iran, let alone Pakistan.
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors.

I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes: If you F___ with me, I'll kill you all.

I have a theory on this. Why does Obama seem not so left wing when it comes to Pakistan vrs everywhere else? My guess is he wants to be the one to kill or claim to kill Osama. That will greatly increase his popularity, and make him 'the man' so to speak.

I don't want Obama as president, then and now. Infact even more so now that I've seen his inexperience up so bad.

awww this is cute. This guy's logic is that McCain would have committed eight to ten times the amount we spent in WW2 to stop an insurgency in Iraq and Afghanistan... Especially considering it took us alomst ten years to come within even a fraction of the distance of that which we spent in WW2. Yes you are right and Che is great.

Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

McCain's foreign policy would have resulted in more conflicts, and thus, greater need for defence spending.
    Much greater.

I couldn't give two if someone is born in the US or not to be honest. That seems more xenophobic than it does practical nowadays.

The rule served well back then, maybe not so much today, yet who's to say what the future entails. I'd rather have it than not, and if America can't find a decent Pres in the 300 million locals, then we are doomed either way.

You do realize that a large number of those 300million aren't native born, right?

heh, what's the percentage? I mean once you hit a couple hundred million it shouldn't matter, whether it's 2 or 3.

According to the 2000 Census, 11.1%, or about 30million. Not a small number at all.

10% of the pop is not a small number? Granted that's what half the birt pop? Again, 270 million people, if we can't find a leader among them we have a problem.

30 million is still a large number, whichever way you cut it. It's basically the entire population of Canada for crying out loud.

errr it's still a tiny fraction of the US populace. What the hell are we even arguing at this point?

That requiring the president to be native born is a silly requirement.

If you have a problem with it, change the Constitution. Otherwise, don't attempt to overrule its authority.

As for the rest of the thread, Obama is an American citizen.
