Why are factions like the Byzantium have little to no colour on their units. I've noticed a lot of factions units don't have the same colour they did before. I know it may be not as accurate but it still made them a little more appealing.

i believe it is simply designed for historically accurate purposes, but at the same time it gives the units a darker, more gritty medieval feel which many love including myself. Think modern soldiers wearing lime green instead of khaki uniforms.... just doesnt work. If anything all these mods still feature too much colour on certain units, as dies such as black and purple and blue were rare commodities.
Awwwwwwww, i just loved to watch my purple armies dominate on the battlefield. Conquering cities. Spreading the Purple....muahahahhahahahahaha!
Wow someone actually likes the bright purple Byzantines? First time for everything I guess![]()
Ah yes, I loved my flamboyantly proud Byzantine Armies battling Turks just in time for the fashion shoot.
You can try the Basileia ton Romaion mod,

It offers a more "shiny" unit roster in lieu to what's already there. I have it. It's pretty sick.
