question with blue and green romans

I thought the Green Romans carry green shields and blue Romans carry blue shields. in the game they are the same as the red Romans.....also proterians were suppose to be purple or something but they look just like normal legionaires. anyone know how I can change the colors of their shields and armor?

I believe it is for historical accuracy.... the roman families didnt look different it was all roman.. the game puts the different families in order for you to break away from the senate if you wish....but i agree it would be nice to easily tell th difference at a glance.. but I have to go with historical accuracy first.

so red shield was the color for Romans?

indeed the romans used red and dark purple for shields as their standard colors...just not like the bright red seen in the vanilla RTW....looks like Rainbow armies of doom..

yep. Basically the idea of the Julii, Brutii and Scipii factions is complete nonsense. The roman republic was never divided by these families.
