Unknown descr_sm_factions crash

I'm having a problem with the descr_sm_factions.txt file. I edited it to more accurately reflect the family trees of various faction, then started my mod and it loaded fine. After exiting M2TW when I tried to load my mod again I was able to select a faction but the mod crashed without loading. However I hadn't changed a single file, so the mod should have worked. I then used a back up version of the descr_sm_factions and the mod loaded fine, edited the back up descr_sm_factions so that it contained the new family tree information, was able to load the mod, then the next time I started M2TW the mod again didn't work.

Can any help me figure out this strange problem?

I agree with Mr. konny here or upload your copy of faulty descr_sm_factions.txt file to take a look at your problem. but until then we can't really help you mate.

and by the way here is a humble advise plz don't take it offensive in any way but when ever i mod if i make even a little change in the game i save the entire data contents in some safe place. or you try the

to = logs/system.log.txt
level = * error

command by inserting in the config file and putting it's properties to read only. and then see the error for yourself and eventually you'll solve this problem all by yourself my heart says so.

I didn't post or upload these files because it wouldn't explain why the descr_sm_factions file worked, then suddenly stops working. I would like to make it clear that the problem is not that I modified the descr_sm_factions file and it no longer works but that I modified it, it worked, then suddenly stopped working.

I have uploaded both descr_sm_factions files, the 'descr_sm_factions.txt' is the one that works and the 'PROBLEM descr_sm_factions.txt' is the one that works, then stops working. Please let me know if you see any errors in these files.

Also I tried using the error log but it cannot determine what the error is.

You put the mongols from being available from the beginning to "spawned on event" - did you change the descr_strat entry as well?

Otherwise it looks ok. Simple change from "yes" to "teutonic" (or even "no") should not cause a crash.
Similar comment is applicable for "can sap" and "can have princess"

Yes, the Mongols are listed as 'dead_until_resurrected' in the decr_strat and do not possess any settlements or armies.

Does M2TW recreate some files after they have been modified? If it does then this may explain why the mods suddenly stops working as M2TW is not properly recreating these files.

Only guess I have would be connected to the teutonic family tree. Did you clean that up in the descr_strat? Don't want to have a child coming of age there.
