Do we have a poll like this? If not I'll go first, I starting playing Shogun in July of 2002 and then moved on to Medieval and every game/expansion except Alexander and Empire since. How about everyone else?

I got Shogun a month or two after release. That makes somewhere between 8-9 years I believe?

Discovered the series when a friend, who is a stategy fanatic, told me Medieval II was coming out. I tried it out, liked it. After failing a campaign, I went on the internet to find cheats. I discovered this website and have been lurking ever since.

I bought my acer laptop in 2004 for Rome man the anticipation was so great with CA's new website haha...
bought my Alienware laptop in 2007? for M2 man I love the pre-release hypeit can sure cost money!

Since 2004 when I bought a cool looking game called "Rome:Total War". It was so fun I went out and bought Meddieval and Shogun as well!

5 years. Started with Rome and then bought Medieval 2 when it came out. Don't have a good enough computer to run any of them anymore though.

5 years or so.
Got Shogun Total War at around 2000~ (I think) and only installed at at 2004 since I completely forgot about it.
Played it until about 2 years ago when I got M2TW and played M2TW from then 'til now.

Began playing total War with the very first demo of Shogun, the one with the single archer trying to fend off one, then two, then three attackers and so on.
