Artillery accuracy
I recently killed 80% of one of my own units with a poorly aimed onager stone. This got me thinking, do artillery and ranged units get more accurate with increased chevrons? Thanks for any answer!

Re: Artillery accuracy
I've never tested that, but my guess is no. Accuracy for missile weapons is set in the projectiles file and I don't think experience has any effect on it. More chevrons will raise the attack value, which make a difference for projectiles like arrows (the higher the attack the more likely it is that a hit will actually do damage), but for siege weapons I doubt if it makes much difference at all. The attack values are already so high that hits are always lethal.

Re: Artillery accuracy
I also experience the same problem.
My onager, even with 2 silver-chevron, only hit the enemy 2 times using all their stones. Plus 1 time hitting their friends. OMG!
But, when the AI is bringing Onager to the field, prepare your cavalry, since AI's onagers are very accurate and deadly.
I also experience this in RTW Vanilla, but of our Onager unit seems dumber than in RTW Vanilla

Re: Artillery accuracy
The stats for onagers haven't been changed in XGM, so if they seem dumber it's just bad luck. The AI does get some help with accuracy though, so if you play on higher difficulty settings, you had better make sure your general moves around a lot.
