    Default my one criticism

I'm new here, and the dev team's done a great job, but I have one small criticism.

I've been playing as Rohan, and after defeating Isenguard and Morder I still have to conquer 60 territories. Frankly, after breaking Barad Dur I'm no longer interested. I'm grinding on, but why do I have to?

That's what TW offers to you. If you are getting bored of conquering so much territories, try to play the short campaign. As I've experienced, gameplay offers you mre fun than in the long one, but it all depends on your playing style.

Hmm- you have 60 territories left to conquer- and you have already conquered Isengard and Mordor- it tells me that you have conquered half the map

If you have already expanded your territories and are suffering from boredom since most all evil factions has been conqured, why not expand to the frontier?

If the game atmosphere is what is causing your problem- look into submods that adds great diversity and spices the game up. I recommend RC/RR and Divide and Conquer. But you can also look into Visual Enhancements and some graphical mods as well

Have you installed the patch? The content is so much to list here but it adds a lot of stuff to the game, some have even said the game got significantly harder playing as the good side, which fits your situation

Have a look around the forums

i really ask myself how you could conquer isengard AND mordor without at least
having about 40 terretories. not only because there are a lot terretories on the
way there and around it, but you need a huge and strong army to face with mordor.
without playing on EASY/EASY and without cheating this is quite impossible i guess.

I think he ment that he needs to get to 60 regions, not 60 regions more to take since Rohan's victory condition is to take 60 regions.

I've finished only one game so far, with Gondor, an found it perfectly balanced: The moment I finished Mordor, I had exactly my 60 provinces (I had conquered Harad before).

Have had that problem before as high elves, i didnt have the men to keep many of my captured regions, gave them often to my allies with more culture there than i had. Was good way to keep my income high and free up some vry experienced armies, i always had to make sure i left each of my allies with one frontier colony or they seemed to get bored mass a stack then trash one of my regions nearer to there cap. i still called it a win even though i was 20 regions short, the dark forces of Mordor and Isengard had been defeated as well as the ootmm scum. Rhun and Harad-bah all humans look alike to the elves was well on my way to organising a woodstock type festival and inviting some of those silvan hotties over for a brew.

RR/RC Lore Edition has victory conditions for Rohan as:

    hold regions Kings-Land_Province Helms-Deep_Province Nan-Curunir_Province
    destroy Mordor, Isengard

Djamesc you cant have mordor and isengard and still require 60 terriotries. Beside that thou They sacrificed gameplay for balance so in the end it do become boring.

I don't see the problem. Unless something really cool happens when you win, what difference does it make? Do you really need validation by the game to make you happy?

I often reach the point in a game where I look at the map, my forces, my income, and realize I can steamroller any remaining opposition. There is no more challenge. When I decide I have won, I have won.

I found my game for gondor extremely tiring. As I was supposed to grind through armies of Olog-Hai and Uruks that spwaned out of no-where. They don't even have any cities to support this type of army.

Thats exactly how I play too, once you gain enough power you realize that you allready won and its just a matter of time before you will crush everyone else.

Sorry I wasn't clear. The 60 territories is a win condition like taking out Isenguard and Morder; I've done the last two, and have 32 territories. Gondor's finished off Harad, the OoMM now belong to several different races, the only evil left is Rhun. Playing on VH/VH if anyone cares.

I suppose thinking back I have the same problem with Medieval 2, which several of you noticed. Guess running the huge empire is less interesting than building it.

Thanks for the info on changing conditions. I'll play around and see if I find a campaign more suited to my attention span!

You could attack another good faction to get more regions
