Default Excellent mod,VH/VH and battlefield ?

I havent played Mtw2 in a very long time.I reinstalled it and went straight to Stainless Steal with Point Blanks mod that included the 6.2 and other mods.I always play on VH/VH and as England im having a very fun but tough time.
Im at war with 8 other factions and that makes me the 1 with the most enemies.Every1 hates me worse then Hitler and no1 wants anything to do with me except to exterminate me.The Pope thinks the flames of hell are to good for my monarch ( so much for forgiveness lol) and threatens me with excomunication everytime i attack an enemy on my land or cross my border into enemy territory regardless of the fact that every1 attacked me first and im trying to defend myself.Im under constant threat from invasion from the Iberian and Danish lands and my army is stretched thin, my poor guys need to be everywhere at once .The Spanish,Aragon and Portugal are allied to each other and all are enemies of mine. The Danes and Norway are allied and also enemies of mine. The French and the Holy Roman Empire(who took gifts from me and told me they were happy to receive them then turned their swords against me) are also enemies of mine and recently went to war with each other. There was times where it was very close and i was almost done for but I was able to keep England intact with some very big Heroic victories on land and on sea repelling ships that had half and full stacked armies ready to invade.I was coming up with a strategy to get rid of Scotland for good and take its lands because i was in massive debt until William Wallace showed up and hampered my plans and stretched my military to the breaking point.Im about to lose the Castle in Normandy which is my 1 and only foothold on mainland Europe to France after many BIG and gruesome battles, the constant threat of invasion left me with no other option so i had to recall my armies back to the island leaving Normandy lightly defended plus i wasnt able to gain any grounds France constantly had me outnumbered and was starting to train far more supperior troops then me.Im having a very good time playing this Mod and ive been on the defensive ever since the game started,I havent even captured the rebel castle in Whales yet and its been over 70 turns LOL.Im now starting to get the upper hand on situations and able to get the initiative back on my side for the time being along with some money.
The Ai seems to be choosing its battles carefully and not constantly getting into pointless fights with me with stack after stack tho sometimes it seems to be to aggressive on the battlefield. When i attack a superior army they seem to stay in place and defend but when i attack an inferior army they seem to rush me.I assume thats because i have archers and they dont want to stand there and get shot down like ive seen in previous versions of this game.

I was wondering if the game is heavily scripted against the player on VH/VH.Every1 avoids me like the plague and im unable to form any alliances or get on good terms with any other monarch. Will it always be like this regardless of how chivalrous i act or am or how many gifts i give? will i eventually get an alliance and be able to form a coalition instead of fighting 1 or am i doomed to fight the whole world in this game from here on out?

Another thing i was wondering about is if its possible in the campaign to extent the battlefield limits(the red lines you see on the battle map that mark out of bounds) to take up the whole hud map on the bottom left screen.I played a Historical battle and noticed that there was more territory to roam around in and there was very little grey area on the hud map that marked the out of bounds and i would love to have that in the campaign game.It would be nice to have more room to manoever in and i was also thinking about using the mod that increased the number of troops in each company to fit the larger battle map.

I also would like to thank every1 who worked on this mod and giving this game a much needed improvement. Its way better then it was way back when i played it.Im having a lot of fun scratching my head wondering what move to make next,Its like a chess a game lol.Every move i make or ground i travel has to be the right dicision or it will cost me big time in a turn or two.You guys did a phenomenal job and for every thank you theres about 50 people out there who back it up without saying.Im going to to keep playing this short campaign and try to acheive the short term goals and who knows maybe keep pushing to see how far i can get.Like all games theres always some bugs that refuse to stay under the carpet or outside but from me you guys will receive nothing but praise.

    Excellent Work Excellent Mod

Hello, friend. Does your chivalrous acts include releasing prisoners and only occupying captured settlements? That goes a long way in building good global reputation.

Even being extremely chivalrous, occupying releasing etc, it's still incredibly hard to play on Vh/Vh.

6.2 vh/vh is the way to go, more challenging/fun I reckon.

I don't think making the battle field bigger is a possiblity, as that extra area around the edge is needed for re-inforcments and routing troops, however I don't have a definitive answer.

Why do routing troops need more room? I can see for reinforcements but it is always annoying to watch my cavalry run into a glass wall when chasing routers. Would prefer they just ran off the edge of map and succeeded in "going to ground."

Reinforcements could appear just lined up on the edge, don't see why they need to march in... not like they don't know there is a battle, seems like they might approach in battle formation not marching in line.

im also playing VH/VH, and i adopted a very curious strategy. Playing as Portugal, i captured Badajoz and Silves, and converted Oporto to city. Then, i send several diplomats across the world, to keep peace, while i develop my economy, so, when the time comes, i can crush the moors. i never fought other country other than rebels, and i am becoming one of the most powerful economies in the game. so fun to be an outsider

PS: a nice assassination policy also helps a lot, especially to kill those dirty imams
