What the Pakistani government fail to realize is that the Taliban don't simply want to control A-Stan anymore, but to create a Pushtanistan, Pakistan's nightmare.

The same failed Pakistani policy that brought into existence the Balochistan Liberation Army will, no doubt, create a separatist Pashtun element. As of now, it does not exist. The ANP, aka the Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awam Party (Pashtun Nationalist Party), is with the federal government and has popular support.
Anyway, I don't want to derail from the topic at hand too much but it a couple of positive developments have taken place lately. India has agreed to stop arming, training and supporting Baloch terrorists (the same blokes that kidnapped an American UN member last year). Also, evidence supporting Indian links to the Lahore attack on the Srilankan team has been handed over to Manmohan Singh as well. Usually, India only stops its RAW activity in Balochistan if Pakistani agrees to curb its ISI activities in occupied Kashmir. However, with American pressure, they've unconditionally given in this time.

Pakistan should be part of Pushtunistan. Led by brave handsome Pashtuns. People like the historic Mahmud of Ghazni, Mohammed of Ghor, Abdul Shah Durrani. Only through the leadership of attractive stout men, will Pakistan survive as a viable and handsome state. Rudyard Kipling helped me formulate this response.
I say we take Pakistan's nukes away and let them try to fend off the Taliban alone. I'm sure India is dying to pick up the pieces that will remain.
Why can't they just shut theup? They know that Obama will expand the war if he has to. Even if that means US troops in Pakistan. Is that what they want?
