Help with Syracuse
I started a provincial campaign as Syracuse and realy had no trouble taking all of Sicily, but now the problem is that carthage sends 2 half stacks ever turn to attack 1 of my 3 cities so i have to maintain a fairly large standing army to repel them every time which is sapping my economy. I figured out how to stop the flood or carthaginians, downsize my army and build a large navy. So now im sitting there with the same economic situation, each turn im only making like single diget dinari, but all the cartaginian ports are blockaded. how can i raise enough money to pay for an invasion of someplace random just so i can get some cash flow.

Re: Help with Syracuse
The campaign gets very difficult if you stall like that. Carthage has a huge empire so they can wear you down. What you need to do is something like: (1) Take Sicily; (2) Immediately send most of your forces off to take Sardinia and Corsica; (3) Invade Africa (probably best to start at Lepcis Magna and head west towards Carthage, so that you can build up a good enough army to take the Carthage garrison when you get there).
As its too late for that you might want to try making peace with Carthage.
