Default Multiple skins on one model?

Hey all i am having a problem. I made a custom unit and i am using the skins from the native american medicine men (with some added blood effects and dirt on the clothing) as my custom unit skins. However when i load Empire the skins of my custom unit look VERY strange. IT appears as if there are actually 2 skins being drawn onto them. I have attached a screenshot. If you look at the man in the bottom right hand corner you can see a face on his cheek with a bloody mouth. THis is one of the effects that i added to the medicine men skin (the bloody mouth) so that must be part of my skins but what is the rest of the blackish brownish texture all over the rest of his body? Any ideas? Thanx.

I meant to say in the warscape, what model are you using? One possiblity for your error could be that the model your using is diffferent from the one you took the texture from. So for example where one has a boot on the lower left quadrant, the other might have a bare leg.

sry but which warscape table. there are are a number of warscape tables. in my warscape animated lod table i have 4 entries that use UnitModels/Native_American_MedicineMan_lod1.variant_weighted_mesh - UnitModels/Native_American_MedicineMan_lod4.variant_weighted_mesh.

Can you put your unit in a zip and upload it here? I'd like to take a look.

Well, first of all theres a ton of stuff in there you don't need.

For instance you don't need all those building entries or unit entries unless you modded all that.

As for your problem, your using the medicine man model but are using the eastern infantry texture. Thats why your having problems. The texture is made for the eastern infantry model not the medicine man. In order to use the medicine man model, you must mod the medicine man texture.

Weren't you the same one that posted some questions about zombies a month or two ago? I uploaded a fixed and working version of whoever posted that mod.

where exactly is my problem. I opened my custom units texture files again with GIMP to make sure and they are the medicine men texture. I copied them directly out of the models.pack and then added some blood. which entries in your opinion need changing?>

For the texture your using, you must use the eastern infantry model.

If you really want to use the medicine man model, then you should mod the medicine man texture instead of the one you have now.

Update: It was you who made that post I was talking about.

yes i know but i have changed everything since then. I began using stuff from the medicine men instead of the eastern infantry. I dont think its still gonna apply.

ok lol which column is that? Cause under unit_stats_land for my custom unit "Model Name" is currently set to zombie_eastern_infantry. Your saying change that to eastern infantry?

    warscape_animated_lod

    Change:

    UnitModels/Native_American_MedicineMan_lod(1-4).variant_weighted_mesh

    To:

    UnitModels/east_indian_Infantry_lod(1-4).variant_weighted_mesh

At least I think thats the one your texture belongs to.

ok so that brought it back to my original way of having it (before i switched to the medicine men). i dont rly get it though. I deleted those old textures. and i uploaded the new textures that i exported from the models.pack. These were the vanilla textures of the medicine men. So the question is how do i get my medicine men textures to draw onto the medicine men models?

You cant drastically change the textures. I suggest modding the original medicine man textures from scratch.

i did i exported them from the originals. added some spots of blood on the heads and legs and such then added it to my mod. how can my mod even be loading up that old texture? i deleted those old modified eastern ethnic warrior textures.

well from the mod you sent me, the only textures I see in it are the eastern infantry ones. I don't see any modded medicine man textures.
