    Default Where are the crusaders?

Jerusalem was captured and I requested a crusade, a few turns later I got the message "a large crusader army has arrived in the holy land to recapture Jerusalem" but I don't see the army anywhere. They must exist somewhere in the game because the next turn I was suddenly -8000 gold.

First wave of Crusaders (German) appears in Anatolia, led by Frederick Barbarossa, as they did.

Second wave comes directly to Tyre by boats, led by Philippe Augustus and Richard the Lionhearted.

Third wave comes much later, and is triggered by fall of Antioch, led by Louise IX of France.

And I believe there is a fourth wave.......

And if Jerusalem is destroyed as a faction before those armies come, they will still come, but as a bunch of scripted rebels, scripted to take Jerusalem, Jaffa, Acre and Antioch, so Ayyubid player should always be on guard.

Finally, if Jerusalem ain't destroyed, and you play as Ayyubids, those armies will nuke you. If you play as any other player, those armies will be passive. And if you play as Jerusalem, those armies will devastate your economy, but with them, you will be able to compensate all losses and possibly turn the war with the Ayyubids to your favor.

There is also Emperor's Frederick II crusade, spawned at Tripoli; and crusade of Louis IX of France, spawned also at Tripoli.

I think he's asking about crusader help that spawns for player, not pre scripted historical crusades.

Last time I played, It spawned near Acre. You say you cannot see them?

Make sure you check in Anatolia too. They spawn there sometimes.

No. Only AI gets historical crusades.

If you request crusade via "crusade" recruitment card int he building development, it may be granted to you, and it should spawn in the KoJ native territory.
I'll have to check the script, but that's how it has always been.

Yeah, I wondered about this too. Didn't the vanilla crusades expansion have the rogue crusaders appear as a Venice faction? It would be cool if they were scripted to be a new emergent faction like the Mongols; maybe call them the Latin Crusaders?

It has to due to Defaults of rebels or something. Don't think it can be fixed but i could be wrong and its not a priority as they only show up once to be killed. Besides Norman Knights are a Pain in the but to kill.
