Bad economy due to 1.0?

Does anyone know if patch 1.0 is harder or easier than 1.1. and if I should consider installing patch 1.1?

The patches add so much content that I would strongly recommend installing 1.1. All the sub-mods are compatible with 1.1 as well.

You should always install the newest patch.

1.1 is overall more balanced, got bugfixes, new features etc.- Decide if you want that or not.

In 1.0 Just play till mordor got trolls or olog-hai. Battle them. Then you will see why you should always use the newest patch.

Just follow the install instructions, there's no reason for it not to work.

Installation

- Install Part1, Part2 & Patch 1.1 into the default 'Medievall II Total' War directory.
(Normally this is: 'Programs/SEGA/Medieval II Total War')
If you have installed Medieval II into another folder, please select the folder manually.

- Start the mod with the 'Third Age - Total War' shortcut on your desktop

The patch is downloaded and installed the same way the mod is.

I save 1.1 in the Medieval 2 folder, correct? ( Sorry for questions ) Last time I downloaded a mod it messed up my comp.

When I try to save in main Med 2 folder it says I dont have permission to save in this location and I have to obtain permission from admin. I am admin on my comp and also im installing it from filefront.

Should I consider saving it into the TATW file?

Honestly Misha97, there are a lot of people willing to help you obviously but you need to be willing to help yourself. There is plenty of documentation on all of this. I see you are new to the forums so spending a few minutes to see how they work would be to your benefit. It's the old teach a man to fish philosophy.

You should download it first and then install it into main medieval 2 folder.

Somehow you managed to download the main mod already, so it should work.

Well, we can hardly tell you why your computer won`t allow you to save the file.

I know you arent asking that anymore. I'm just saying that in the thread that you were sent to download the patch, there will be a lot of information on installing it properly. That will be your greatest resource for finding solutions to your problem with the patch.

I just read the download you sent me and I've read 3 pages of happy people exclaiming. All I want is for my comp to save it and it wants to save in my user folder instead. Who should I contact as "admin"?
