    Default Superfactions under Julii

In the descr_strat file I added superfaction romans_julii under the Greek Cities faction. Is this enough to make the Greek Cities part of Julii's superfaction is more work needed to be done?

I tried it out on the campaign map but there doesn't seem to be any differences. Granted, I didn't press the "next turn" button, but it seemed kind of risky to press the button.

    1. I don't think a faction that already has a superfaction can be the superfaction of another faction.
    2. The superfaction and the faction ruled by it must belong to the same culture.

    That's too bad.

What about the protectorate status? Can we modify how the Protectorate system works (advantages and likelihood of breaking the alliance) or is that hardcoded?

    No, it's hardcoded.

You can use any faction as a superfaction, as long as the "sub" factions have the same culture. A faction can even be superfaction of itself.

But I got CTD with other factions in RTW-Alexander... Perhaps it's due to text\* files.... I dunno since there is no error message at all

i'm intrigued about what you said Aradan, that a faction can be its' own superfaction?
what are the implications of this?
are there any known behavioural changes that the AI will make?

The faction will get defensive, will build large armies to protect itself and not expand, unless provoked, afaik. Though Monkwarrior (IberiaTW) mentioned that having many superfactions makes the game more prone to CTDs.

Wait, if a faction is superfaction of itself, is it possible that you can make it so the S.P.Q.R. is playable, and it hands out titles to it's own members? (In my own home-brew mod, I have it so that the S.P.Q.R. is playable, and just added all the other Roman lands/armies to it.)

Side Note: Works pretty well, giving it a pretty cool system that seeing that you can't see every family tree, you'll only see the most dominant family's tree. That means that if the Julii family is dominant (Faction leader comes from here) you can set up an Empire of Juliis, or if you let the game go it's course, the Dominant Family will almost always change families (there's four of them in one faction, so unless you actively go out to improve a single family's influence, you'll have a leader of a different faction each time)

Aradan, That is exactly what is happening to me in my mod. After I cut down the roman families to just the Senate and Julii, I went to work on the Britons. I was tired of them blitzing accross Europe like they always did... I wanted more historical action. I made Britons a superfaction of itself. Now, they have built 4 army stacks and that is it. They don't assault accross the channel, and don't even attack the nearby rebel lands in britain. This way, it is more historical, and whoever invades will have a strong fight on their hands.
