Custom Battle CTD

Any units, any map always a CTD when I press the begin battle button for a custom battle. I have edited many things though nothing related to this specifically. Does anybody know what is the most likely cause for this?

Did anything to the map lately and forgot to update the map.rwm?

I deleted the map.rmw file, same problem, campaign works fine.

Did you make any changes to the character names?

Figured it out, I had a faction name wrong in the unplayable faction list. I thought that would crash the campaign not the custom battles! Thanks for the help anyways.
