Assualt stack advice please
Going to be going on the offensive against TSE soon, and I would appreciate any thoughts on composition of an assault stack, only 15 slots left 1 General and 4 Heavy Onagers already selected. I can recruit from Urban Barracks.
Macedon units only please.

with an urban barracks, I'd go with those agema hypaspist (don't how to spell it) since they can be classified as assault infantry and some "phalangites" for open field battles...

i would go mostly with hypaspists. That is going to be your assault infantry, capable of taking walls. But they are swordsmen, so i think you might as well add two thorakitai, as their javelins also can help support your hypaspists and more importantly, spears help against nasty generals. Phalangites are a DUH in any macedonian army, but if you're just assaulting walled cities, I can't see how they'd be too needed. I'd sooner grab hoplites and make sure they have as many upgrades as you can give them. They are also strictly spearmen, and they're heavily armored, and cane make shield wall, and have great morale. They can hold the line AND assault walls.
I would go, 7 hypaspist, 5 hoplites, and 3 thorakitai.
Just have a field army that has cavalry and phalangites covering this force.

A stack of Hoplites, Hypa's and Onagers could take down any city. Useful for amphibious assaults on areas like N. Egypt and the Levant (and crimea). Put a couple of heavy cav units in case it gets caught in a field battle.
