    Default CTD @ T150 - ai causing it?

    hmmm so WTH. I have tried about every means possible to adjust settings so that Turn 150 does not crash during romani ai. I am playing Romani. Even if I go back 3-4 turns and just hit EOT it still crashes.
    What amI missing?
    I have deleted and re installed
    adjusted vid settings
    cancelled all my buildings ( I thought maybe the 'empire ' was spending too much per turn to cope with processing...that seemed to work in the 130's period.
    I am at a loss here and I am getting pretty close to fulfilling the victory conditions and then some....

    Am I able to post a save file somewhere?

    Also I have gone thru the entire step by step process for trouble shooting, and as you can see then some.

    The town "Asodat" is revolting which is causing the ctd, garrison the city with troops, and use the cheat process_cq "city name" to quickly construct some public order building , it should work fine from there...

    double STUD - M8 thanks that worked, I got happiness upto 70% that did the trick. Now on wards and upwards.

    I guess my question would be "Why does something like this cause a CTD in the first place?"

    Im not sure, but I think it is because certain cities when they revolt are supposed to return to a certain faction, howerver if is that factin is destroyed it will cause an error with the script and thus the CTD.

    You know what... Its software. In order to do proper testing on customizations like this you need to do massive regression testing. Unless you can automate that you cant pick up all the permutations manually.
    SO the good news is there is a work around. I am happy. Thanks for all the support. Surprisingly the support is better here than the EB forum.

    Hmmm ... I guess I don't know enough about scripting but why not have every city in revolt go back to the Eleutheroi ('slave') in order to prevent the ctd?

    In order for every town to rebel to the Eleutheroi, the Eleutheroi would have to best as the creater/owner faction for every town. This would cause all of the Eleutheroi towns to have the same culture at the beginning of the game, which wouldn't work everywhere. Plus, once the city is upgraded, it would no long rebel to the faction that it was set to but rather the faction that upgraded it.

    Follow up question Cities with a ~ in a name cannot be process_cq correct? How do you put in a ~ with closing the console....?
    ANy suggestions welcome.

    Cities that have fancy script usually have a plain internal name that can also be used with cheats. Try using a "-" or a "_" or just a space for the "~".
