Please use this thread to give feedback specifically to the new patch.
It should be installed on 2.0 or 2.01 version ?
It should be installed on BC 2.01!
Damn #1: I cannot try this patch, cause I am leaving the town in few hours. Maybe on Sunday I will have time to play...
Damn #2: I can throw my Omani campaign in the waist bin... I have no luck for this faction, it's fourth time I've started it without completion.![]()
i think patch 2.1 is now integrated with 2.2( as theres no link for 2.1) and i also think it doesnt matter....if u have installled 2.1 then install 2.2 over it....thats how patches workin all TW mods imo....
I installed the BC patch 2.02 correctly, and when I start to play as ghorids they can recruit vishap warriors and units of the georgian or armenian aor, but they can not recruit theirs units. Then I try with ERE and they can recruit jat spearmen, vishap, jagirdar....,and they have the same problem, they can not recruit their own units. Is this normal????
Your installation is corrupted. Following citation is from here:
Check it and correct your installation if it's corrupted.Troubleshooting
If you should experience any issues after the installation, please make sure that the installer has deleted the following files from your BC installation folder:
\broken_crescent\data\text\expanded.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\export_units.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\quotes.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\campaign_descriptions.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\names.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\export_buildings.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\world\maps\base\map.rwm
\broken_crescent\data\sounds\events.dat
\broken_crescent\data\sounds\events.idx
will the insaller delete the map.rvm by itself....bcoz i cant find it in data/world/base
EDIT:got the answer....my bad...didnt read the above post clearly

I can not find the last three files of the list (map.rwm, events.dat, events.idx) but I have deleted the rest, and the problem continues
Well, try this way, maybe it will help: unpack BC 2.02 patch in some folder on your desktop (f.e. "bc 2.02") and open it in a window. Open your broken_crescent\data folder in separate window. Now compare two windows - see if BC 2.02 files are on their intended places (check files by name and date) in broken_crescent\data folder. If not, then replace BC 2.01 files with new ones. If yes, then I have no idea, how to help you.
That kind of issues should go to Tech Forum, if I may suggest somethingBut that's true, Abna Infantry hasn't got its unit_info card picture.

dude right now i started a new ghorid campaign just to check if theres this problem u r referring to....but there were all ghorid units in both kabul and the other castle for me to hire ...no any other factions units were there...
so i think u have messed up with ur installtion...better u uninstall bc 2.0 n do a clean install of BC2.0 again n then apply the patch....
btw have u unpacked the original game by the unpacker in the tools folder...if yes then u will have lots of problem....in past out of craziness i unpacked my game....i had lots of prb playing BC,FKOC and SS 6.2.....So never unpack ur game unless u wanna mod the game urself

Abna infantry still dont have unit card!
No need to reinstall, unless he has unpacked his game.
Your issue is related to the map.rwm. What version of the game do you have, and which Windows version?I can not find the last three files of the list (map.rwm, events.dat, events.idx) but I have deleted the rest, and the problem continues.
I have the same problem. My 2.0 worked fine, and this is a fresh install on a new computer. When I installed 2.02 it screwed up the recruitment. Where is the map.rwm file I need to delete? I found the one for vanilla and Kingoms, but not BC. I already tried deleting the rest of the stuff and it didn't help. I'm on vista btw.
Check your rights management, and search for the file manually. I suppose you still have the old file, so the game won't generate the new one.
It may be, that the file will not show up in your explorer, try to change visibility options for hidden files and folders (if there is something like that in VISTA).
AFAIK I do have hidden files and extensions viewable, and its still not showing up. I would like to know if anyone else on vista is having this problem, or if XP users have the same issue.
I tried this too and its not there either :/Yes, there is something like that. Try in hidden AppData folder in C:\Users\"put_user_name"
If someone uploaded the correct map.rwm and I put it in the maps\base folder, do you think that would fix the issue?
For Vista OS find map.rwm file in: Medieval II Total War/broken_crescent/data/world/maps/base and then look for the Compatibility files folder up top and it's in there.![]()
Thank you, that fixed it. I've only had vista a few weeks so I don't really know my way around all the new stuff yet.
So if anyone else on vista is having this problem, go to Medieval II Total War/broken_crescent/data/world/maps/base, click the Compatibility files folder, then delete map.rwm and that will fix the recruitment problem. There is no need to uninstall (assuming 2.0 worked for you).
