After installing patch 1.5, I have to insert he "original" disc

Hey. Iv'e installed patch 1.5, and I encountered a problem: everytime after I install the patch and try to play the game, I get a message asking me to insert the original Kingdoms disc/DVD. the problem is, that I do have the originial disc inserted. So does anybody know what is it and how to fix it?

The question would is it the Kingdoms disc? If so, clean it good and make sure there are no scratches.

Well, it's the gold edition disc. Anyway, it works well without the patch, and I already did what you said, so it must be something else.

Could be a bad download. It wouldn't be the first one. Might be worthwhile to download it, again.

Well, it's the gold edition disc. Anyway, it works well without the patch, and I already did what you said, so it must be something else.

In my experience with Gold I've found you need disc one in the drive to play the game. Have you just tried popping in the other disc for giggles to see if it works?

I tried the two of them.

OK, so I decided to download it from another link. But I need to know if I have the UK or US edition, because I don't know how to know it.

Rule of thumb: if you live in good old Blighty (Irishron forgive me), then it is UK. You live on the other side of the pond, it is US. Wasn't so difficult now, was it? Should you live anywhere else, good bet is you have the US version.
