    Default Alternatives to Mod Manager?

    Hi everyone,

I was wondering, is there an alternative to installing mod manager to make mods work? I'm sure I remember someone somewhere saying that there was.

Mod manager doesn't work for me, you see, it stops Empire working for a few hours every time I try it.

    Thanks alot,

The mod manager changes the 'user.empire_script.txt' here : C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts for Vista, and you'll need to turn off hidden folders to view it.

To turn a mod on, simply add a line to you user.empire_script.txt with the following format : 'mod YourModName.pack;' for example if I wanted to turn on my version of the Smoke and Blood mod (called SmokeModFull.pack) I would add a line 'mod SmokeModFull.pack;' and the Smoke and Blood mod would be turned on.

    Hope that helps!
