    Default The Augustus's Constitutorum

I was looking around the other R:TW mods and saw one that has senate missions as a tribal council for the gauls, the senate for the romans and something else for one of the other factions. In SBH's AAR it mentions the Constitutorum of Juilan, the Emperor. Apparently, you can give any three factions senate missions. There is never more than three Roman factions in IJ, so... Why not? Apparently it is easy to out in by hand but I think it would be better if we had one official mimi-mod, instead of everyone making their own.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
What have the Romans ever done for us?? apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?
    Some of my favourite quotes:
"Your god has yet to prove himself more merciful than his predecessors" ~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'
"If you choose to do nothing, they will continue to do this again and again, until there is no-one left in the city, no people for this governement to govern"
~ Hypatia, as represented in the film 'Agora'

I think it was Roma Surrectum. They haven't implemented it yet though, just discussing it. It is theroetically possible and also possible to get rid of the crappy missions they tend to give you later on with no rewards and just punishments for failure.
But I can't remember for sure what mod it was sorry. I'll try to find it again.

Ok, what does everyone think of my idea, or am I wasting my time?

Its anachronistic to have the senate give ANY missions since by this point they had no power at all, the dominate was a dictatorship and the Comites Consistani the imperial council certainly did not tell the imperator what to do.

The constitutorum was not the senate. The senate by this time was a non-effectual glorified city council. The constitutorum was comprised of the Emperor's military and civil advisors, generals and other people like admirals ect.

My understanding of the consistorium is an informal body of high level generals and civilian officers whom the emperor assembled about him for advice and consultation - e.g.: Valens before leaving Hadrianopolis to face the Goths under Fritigern. I am not sure it had any legal or military jurisdiction except after the death of an emperor during an interregnum as when Julian and then Jovian died. I can't see how it would fit into a RTW framework in the manner of the vanilla game.

But it was essentially an advisory council, and would say things like, "Attack the Lazyges" or "take this settlement". It certainly wouldn't be like, "ok I'm sole emperor, now I have to make every decision by my onesome".
I was thinking optional missions for denarii or troops, with no penalties for failure to complete.
